A soldier stays focused on the mission, an athlete plays by the rules, and a farmer works hard. What these three people have in common is perseverance.

The enemy will try to get us to discourage us, so we must be strong and endure. God is present with us and will help us to remain focused, obedient, and hard-working. We can persevere.

We are in a battle, but God has given us access to His Armor. When we put on the FULL armor, the enemy has no chance.

God gives us armor and tools for defense and offense. He has given us all that we need. Let’s put on the full armor everyday, pray, and fight the good fight.

The world will have a lot to say about who we are or who we should be, but what matters more is who God says we are!

Let’s take a look at the truth in Scripture of who we are to God. Let His words make up our core identities.

Being a disciple of Jesus means we need to spend time with him so we can learn from him and then we can live like him.

When we live like Jesus, people will know something is different and then we can introduce them to him. Let’s take a look at some of the things Jesus did during his time on Earth.

Every day, the average person in America takes in 34 GB of information. We hear over 100,000 words a day and spend 12 hours a day consuming various forms of media. We are experiencing an equivalent of 16 movies a day which leads us into decision fatigue because we end up making 35,000 micro-decisions a day. No wonder we are all tired!

The antidote? Stillness. Let’s relearn how to be still with God.

We think our weaknesses disqualify us, but God’s Word reminds us that when we are weak, He is strong.

Our weaknesses lead us to depend on Him more which allows Him to accomplish more than we could ever imagine.

When we are separated from Him, there is chaos, but when we are one with Hiim, there is peace.

As Christians, have we been made holy, or are we being made holy? Well, yes. It’s both. Jesus has made us holy through justification and we are being made holy through sanctification.

“Holy in Progress” is about sanctification and I hope we can go through this process together!
